A Letter from Dianne... |

Hello,My name is Dianne Fulk and I am asking for your support as I seek the position of Clerk of Court. I am confident that I have the skills necessary to do the job and do it well. You may be wondering, what does the Clerk do? The Clerk oversees the recording, managing, processing and retrieving of important records in people’s lives. These records include such things as marriages, adoptions, passports, wills, name changes, deeds, judgments, criminal proceedings, business names, military discharges, divorces, church trustees etc. There is also the aspect of impaneling jurors who are charged with deciding cases that can be life changing. The Clerk is also responsible for money in the form of filing fees, payment of fines, distributing settlements and other monies paid to the Court. I believe I am qualified for the Clerk’s job since I have current first hand knowledge and skills as a deputy clerk for 4 years in the Civil office as well as working with passports, marriage licenses, notary public applications and concealed weapon permits, and payments in the criminal office as needed. I have over 23 years of bookkeeping experience with the family farm so I have the experience it takes to handle the financial aspects of the job. I have started a local staffing and home health care office from the ground up. As manager I was responsible for running the office as well as managing the many employees and clients we served. I have public relations skills from my background in marketing and advertising which will be beneficial in serving the public. I have strong skills in record keeping and maintaining files as well as a wealth of experience serving the church and PTA in many leadership roles. I believe that I have the best background to do the best job. These are some of the things I will do as clerk to put the office on the right TRACK:
So, what can you do? I need your help to keep the momentum going by writing letters, calling the radio station, coming to events, hosting meet & greets, handing out candy in parades, putting up yard signs, stuffing envelopes, distributing literature door-to-door, displaying bumper stickers and yes, contributing money to pay for all of this. With your help, we can win this one! Thank you for your time.
